Description

Get a personal experience of an authentic Zambian village and learn how to prepare the African foods that Zambians have depended on since their existence. Shop for local foods at a Zambian market, cook a meal in the village, and enjoy a traditional Zambian lunch. Be picked up from your hotel and taken to either Maramba or Dambwa Central Zambian Markets. Shop for local foods that you will learn how to cook at either Simoonga or Musokotwane African village. During the tour, your guide will tell you about Zambian and Livingstone town history, traditions, and customs that Zambians have preserved since their existence. Learn about the village you are going to and their customs and culture. At the village, be received by the village guides and village leaders. After the cultural greetings, tour the village to interact with the village families, the village clinic, and the village school. During this village tour, give gifts to the village families and the pupils at the village school. After the village tour, learn how to prepare Zambian foods and actively participate in the cooking of the various foods in the village fire huts. Together, enjoy a Zambian local foods lunch the Zambian way of “eating with our hands without forks and knives!” in the village homes. After lunch, meet the village leaders to bid a traditional farewell before leaving for your hotel.
