Description
Zambezi National Park covers 56,000 hectares of unfenced wilderness featuring the Zambezi River, shrubland, and savannah ecosystems. The park is home to four of the Big Five, with elephants and buffalo being more commonly seen, while lions and leopards are rarer.
Your private safari can be booked in durations of 4, 7, or 10 hours. Longer tours increase the chance to observe a wider range of wildlife patiently. The 10-hour full-day tour offers the best opportunity to find various animals and fully experience the park.
Your expert guide provides detailed knowledge on mammals, birds, plants, and conservation. The game drive route along the Zambezi River features 25 numbered stops for breaks and wildlife viewing. The river attracts hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species, with over 75 fish species including tiger fish.
During the dry season (August to October), mammals are easier to spot as they gather near the river.
