Description
The flight departs from the Zambezi Helipad and first follows the Batoka Gorge at Rapid Number 8, known as Midnight Diner to rafters. The helicopter traces the narrow, 30-metre-wide canyon carved by the Zambezi River.
It then soars over Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most powerful waterfalls on Earth, where the river plunges more than 100 metres. The journey continues upstream to Long Island, where the Zambezi River widens into a meandering waterway dotted with islands and rich wildlife.
The flight passes over the Victoria Falls resort town before returning to the helipad. This tour provides a comprehensive aerial view of the river’s dramatic transformation and the landscape surrounding one of Africa’s significant natural landmarks.
