Transforming lives with music and dance

Barefeet Theater is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that uses play, creativity, and empowerment to give vulnerable children in Zambia a chance at a better life.

Founded by former street children to try and improve the plight of young people living on Zambia's streets.  This dynamic organization helps the vulnerable through the power of performance, educational workshops, interventions,  outreach and more helping to develop vulnerable youth into physically healthy, cognitively, and socially competent young people.
The organization was established in 2006, and has grown and developed over the years thanks to the dedicated group of volunteers and staff.

Barefeet puts on a number of events and performances during the year ably assisted by directors from Zambia and the UK and artists from all over the world as well as the extremely talented local performers.  Barefeet have travelled all over the word performing in the UNICEF headquarters in New York as well as festivals in Poland, Ireland, Holland, Belgium and the UK. From London, Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh stages to opening the show at HIFA 2014 and even the great wall of China!
