Markets
The Dutch Reformed Saturday Market has been running for decades. Items range from crafts and curios, not all authentic Zambian curios but rather a selection from South Central Africa, to fresh vegetables and homemade produce. There is a wonderful mix of stall holders, from talented Zambian craftsmen and women to expatriates all selling a complete mish mash of products - some of wonderful quality, some slightly less so.
This is the place you can come away with a bag of locally grown cashew nuts, a jar of wild organic honey, a beautiful carved statue, and a hand painted table cloth having enjoyed a piping hot delicious boerevors roll with homemade relish.
The market is held in the grounds of the Dutch Reformed Church in Kabulonga, Lusaka.
