Ababa House

From the minute you go through the funky wrought iron gates to Ababa House you know you are in for an arty treat.  The trees have beautiful wood carvings and wind chimes dangling from them, the tiny lawn is scattered with weird and wonderful log benches carved to look like crocodiles, stretched pigs and other interesting interpretations.  Cards and curios, paintings and pictures, furniture , salad servers, beads and bowls, this  zany collection is fun to browse around.

The Zebra Crossings Café at Ababa House is perfect for that restorative cup of something, a tempting treat or light meal.  The café also hosts a constantly revolving art exhibition showcasing the spectacular artistic talent in Zambia.  Most exhibitions opening on the first Wednesday of the month with an open house viewing.  Free snacks and cash bar.
