Description

Begin your day with private pick up from either Fawlty towers, Jollyboys or Livingstone post office. If you require pickup outside of Livingstone or from the Zambian border arrangements can be made at an additional cost. Please get in contact if you require pick up outside of Livingstone. On arrival at Muke village you will experience a private walking tour along the banks of the Zambezi River. Meet your skilled local guide, who is knowledgeable in native plants and animals, and set off on your adventure. The walking tour will take approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Distances will vary depending on your preference. The terrain is flat but comfortable walking shoes and long pants are recommended. This tour is suitable for all fitness levels. As you walk, keep an eye out for a variety of common bird species, including the White-Browed Weaver Sparrow, Bee Eaters, Hamerkop, Ibis, and Woodpeckers. You may also spot the White-Backed Vulture, Fish Eagle, African Thinfoot, Pied Kingfish, Black Crake, and African Jacana. Specalised tours for rare species available on request. In addition to birds, you may see other animals such as hippos, crocodiles, and elephants throughout the tour. After your walk, enjoy a continental breakfast with options of a traditional breakfast and seasonal fruit as you debrief with your guide. Translators can be arranged prior to the tour at an extra cost if required.
