Itinerary Day 1 Travel from Livingstone to Monze, Home of Lochinvar National Park Begin your adventure with a trip from Livingstone to Monze, the gateway to Lochinvar National Park, known for its rich birdlife, including over 400 bird species and the iconic wattled crane. After breakfast, you’ll visit Kalomo, Zambia’s first colonial capital, where you’ll explore historical sites, including the Pioneer gravesite, the first colonial administrator’s residence, and Kalundu Mound. Continuing to Choma, visit the Choma Museum & Craft Centre to learn about Tonga culture, then head to Monze for check-in at Hamatuba Lodge, followed by a delicious dinner. Day 2 Bird Watching in Lochinvar National Park Wake up and enjoy breakfast in Monze before heading to Lochinvar National Park for a full day of birdwatching and wildlife exploration. You’ll visit Gwisho Hot Springs, Baobab Tree & Drums, and Chunga Lagoon, with guided walks for close-up birding. Lunch is served during the excursion. In the late afternoon, stop at Samu Lya Moomba heritage site, tied to Zambia’s independence history, before returning to Monze for another relaxing night. Day 3 Return to Livingstone After breakfast, depart Monze for a scenic journey back to Livingstone. On the way, stop at the Family Safari Lodge to see resident wildlife, including lions. After lunch in Choma, continue your drive, arriving in Livingstone in the afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your lodge or hotel. Optional: Transfer to Lusaka at an additional cost.
